Are you a young innovator, creator, or budding business leader between the ages of 8 and 24 in the Central Texas area? Killeen Flea Market is thrilled to introduce our Emerging Entrepreneurs Program – a unique opportunity designed to help you launch and grow your very own market business!
Inspired by the success of young entrepreneurs like 9-year-old Ezekiel of "Zeke's Fossils" right here at our market, we believe in nurturing the next generation of business talent. This program is a partnership, built on a "You Invest, We Invest" model.

Your Brilliant Idea: It all starts with your unique concept! Develop a product or service you're passionate about sharing with the Killeen community.
Collaborative Creation & Setup – Where Your Network Shines! This is a team effort where your support network (family, friends, mentors, or community helpers) can really make a difference by helping you:
Develop Your Offering: Invest time and resources together in sourcing materials, creating your unique products, or refining your service idea.
Prepare Your Market Setup: Work together to acquire and prepare your market essentials, including a pop-up canopy (approx. 10x10 ft is typical for an uncovered outdoor space), tables, and displays.
Provide Encouragement & Guidance: Your network offers invaluable brainstorming support, practical help, and the motivation to bring your idea to life!
Your Entrepreneurial Spirit: Bring your personal enthusiasm, dedication to your project, and a willingness to learn, engage with customers, and manage your mini-business!

✅ FREE First Weekend! Your Emerging Entrepreneur gets their first full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) in an uncovered booth space completely FREE of charge!
✅ Steeply Discounted Next Three Weekends! To help you build momentum, we offer incredible savings:
Weekend 2: Just $10
Weekend 3: Just $20
Weekend 4: Just $30 (This provides a full month of market experience at a highly reduced rate, based on our standard $40 weekend value for uncovered spaces!)
✅ Vendor Mentorship Program! We'll pair you with one of our experienced Killeen Flea Market regular vendors. Your mentor will have a covered space, and we'll aim to place your uncovered booth directly across from them for easy access to advice, tips, and encouragement throughout the market day.
✅ FREE Weekly Entrepreneurial Learning Sessions with Daniel Garcia! KFM Co-Owner Daniel Garcia (U.S. Navy Veteran, former College Psychology & GED Professor) will host a FREE 1-hour interactive workshop each week for program participants. This 4-week modular syllabus means you can join at any time and cover key topics to help you succeed!
When: Thursdays, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Starting: 6/12/2025 (Details provided upon program registration)
Topics will include: Essential soft skills (like customer engagement & communication), practical business skills (basic pricing, display ideas, marketing yourself, money smarts), and building an entrepreneurial mindset.

Who can apply?
Aspiring entrepreneurs aged 8 to 24 years old.
Individuals or small teams (friends, siblings with parental consent if under 18).
Those with a product to sell (handmade crafts, art, collectibles, baked goods with proper labeling, unique services suitable for a market environment, etc.) or a clear business idea they are ready to launch.
Must have parental/guardian commitment and supervision for participants under 18. This is a collaborative program designed for families to work together. (This is not a drop-off program).
Your Space & Setup

Emerging Entrepreneurs will be provided with an uncovered outdoor booth space.
You will need to bring your own 10x10 ft (or similar size, within reason) pop-up canopy for shade, along with your tables, chairs, displays, and products.
You'll receive a special "KFM Emerging Entrepreneur" identifier to display proudly at your booth so shoppers and mentors can easily recognize you!

This program was sparked by young entrepreneurs like Ezekiel, co-owner Daniel's 9-year-old son. Ezekiel launched "Zeke's Fossils," selling real fossils, fun fossil dig kits, and other dinosaur-themed items, and had a fantastic, profitable first weekend at Killeen Flea Market! We want to help more young people experience that same success and excitement.
